If you hate that eggy taste and smell in donuts sometimes or you are allergic to egg, we made this recipe just for you. Here is a wet drop doughnut recipe (no egg) that can be prepared very easily. Try it out and let us know what you think
INGREDIENTS FOR DROP DONUTS:
- 300 grams All purpose flour
- 7 grams Dry yeast
- 100 grams Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 250 ml Water Lukewarm
- 1 whole Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp Mixed spice/Cinnamon Optional
- 3 cups Frying oil
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DROP DONUTS:
- Put flour in a bowl
- Add nutmeg, mixed spice, salt, and sugar and sift
- Add yeast and mix thoroughly
- Add lukewarm water
- Mix together well to activate the yeast
- Leave the mixture in a warm place for 1 hour to rise
- After 1 hour, push out all air and leave to rise a second time for 30 minutes
- Heat up oil , make desired balls and fry
- Turn frequently to have a uniform color on all sides
- Serve as is, sugar or coat in cinnamon sugar, fill with jam or custard

Hello, You can definitely bake them instead of frying. Bake at 365°F for about 15-16 minutes.
