Using only five ingredients, these Easy Crispy Nuggets is a must-have on your platter. It is super easy to prepare and it’s healthy because it is baked and not fried plus, it is naturally gluten-free!

No doubt, everyone loves a good nugget. But having this homemade nugget is way better than having one from fast foods.

Kids or the kids-at-heart will definitely go crazy of this crunchy, savory and healthy chicken nuggets.

This homemade crispy nuggets is ready to go in just only 30 minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bag chips, any flavor
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (gluten-free)
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 large size eggs
  • 1/2 cup gluten free flour

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat oven to 400°F and set the rack to the middle position.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. Add the chips to a food processor and pulse until they are finely crumbled.  (Or alternately, you can use a rolling pin to crush the chips while they are still in their bag.) 
  4. Transfer the crumbled chips to a small bowl and add in the breadcrumbs.
  5. Add the flour into another small bowl.
  6. Whisk the eggs in a separate small bowl.
  7. Coat the nugget in flour then dip in the egg mixture with your right hand until it is completely coated.
  8. Then, transfer it to the bowl with chips and breadcrumb mixture.  (Use your left hand to carefully coat the chicken with the chips on all sides.)
  9. Press the chip mixture lightly on the chicken to help them stick. 
  10. Transfer the fully coated chicken nugget to the prepared baking sheet. 
  11. Repeat with the remaining chicken.
  12. Bake for 15 minutes or until the top coating of the nuggets are nice and crispy. 
  13. Remove from the oven, flip the nuggets, and bake for another 10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  14. Transfer to your serving platter and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces. Enjoy!
