Easy Japanese Tuna Onigiri Recipe

We’ve made this Japanese Onigiri tuna mayo recipe easy and straightforward for you to follow, all you need is 6 ingredients, canned tuna, rice, cheese, mayonnaise, and nori seaweed..that’s it!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of rice
  • 2 tablespoon feta cheese crumbled
  • 350 gr of tuna canned
  • 50 gr of cheese
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or Japanese Mayonnaise
  • 1 nori seaweed

Instructions
 

  • First cook the rice in a pot with water until the water evaporates and rice is fully cooked. You can use a rice cooker as well.
  • While the rice is cooking, we cut the nori seaweed in half.
  • Combine the tuna, mayo and feta cheese, and mix togther.
  • Shape small balls with the rice and stretch them over our hand.
  • Fill the center with the tuna filling and close the into a ball shape. Add more rice to seal the ball if needed.
  • Then finally shape it into a trangle and wrap the Onigiri with seaweed.
  • Enjoy!
