Ingredients
  

  • 300 grams All purpose flour
  • 7 grams Dry yeast
  • 100 grams Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 250 ml Water Lukewarm
  • 1 whole Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Mixed spice/Cinnamon Optional
  • 3 cups Frying oil

Instructions
 

  • Put flour in a bowl
  • Add nutmeg, mixed spice, salt and sugar and sift
  • Add yeast and mix thoroughly
  • Add lukewarm water
  • Mix together well to activate yeast
  • Leave mixture in a warm place for 1 hour to rise
  • After 1 hour, push out all air and leave to rise a second time for 30 minutes
  • Heat up oil , make desired balls and fry
  • Turn frequently to have a uniform color on all sides
  • Serve as is, coat in cinnamon sugar, fill with jam or custard
