Want to have lasagna but don’t feel like baking. Here you have a lazy no-bake lasagna recipe that can be prepared in about 30 minutes. Our delicious lasagna meal is made with mild Italian sausages and our homemade garlic marinara sauce.

What Is No Bake Lasagna?

No bake lasagna is simply eliminating the baking process while cooking the lasagna in a conventional oven which typically can take about 1 1/2 hours. Our easy step by step instructions will guide you on how to prepare the best tasting no-bake lasagna in just about 30 minutes. So don’t sweat it, you be cooking up a storm in no time.

Ingredients For No Bake Sausage Lasagna:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 green pepper chopped and diced into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup portobello mushrooms
  • 1 pound mild Italian sausage casings removed
  • 3 cups Classic Marinara Sauce recipe follows
  • 340 grams fresh or dry lasagna pasta cut into half
  • 300 grams shredded mozzarella cheese  
  • 31 cup ricotta or cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chopped basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh chopped rosemary

Ingredients For The Butter Garlic Marinara Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 cans diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry oregano
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil or parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions How To Make Butter Garlic Marinara Sauce:

  1. Add the olive oil in a large saucepan and heat over medium heat.
  2. Put in the garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until it just turns golden, 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add in the diced tomatoes, sage, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Take off the heat and stir in the butter until melted and set aside.

INSTRUCTION HOW TO MAKE NO BAKE LASAGNA: 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a wide semi-deep pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sausage and cook, breaking it up into small pieces while cooking about 8 minutes.
  3. Add in the mushrooms, green peppers and marinara sauce, and 3 cups water and bring to a boil.
  4. Add in the lasagna pasta or and stir.
  5. Cover the pot 3/4 and cook stirring occasionally until the pasta is soft and cooked and the sauce has thickened, about 20 minutes.
  6. Add in the ricotta or cottage cheese and the Romano cheese and stir until it well blended into the marinara.
  7. Add and cover the top of the lasagna with shredded mozzarella cheese, cover and cook for about 5 minutes or until the cheese has completely melted.
  8. Remove from stovetop and Enjoy!
